As expected, early figures are in and after the opening US domestic weekend,
The Avengers (2012) has taken in $200 million according to the
BBC. This now leaves the likes of the final Harry Potter movie with $169 million, the Dark Knight $158 million and Spider-Mad 3 with $151 million behind. Worldwide box office take after about a week and a half currently sits at $ 641 million. However, the epic movie did fail to take US domestic opening day record with only $91 million from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt. 2.
