Join Toyota at Le Mans
Earlier this week, Toyota announced an intriguing new competition for two fans of Toyota Racing to join the team at Le Mans this year. They're looking for candidates who are enthusiastic and passionate about Toyota Racing and the revolutionary TS030 HYBRID prototype race car. Both criteria are not hard since the team showed up at Le Mans last year and really made an impression then went on to win three races in the FIA World Endurance Championship. Check out Toyota Europe Blog for more information.

Preventing car theft in the US
This surely is the best, if not the only way to prevent your car being stolen in the US! (Sorry to Americans, but this isn't far from the truth)

Burger King Twitter hacked
Here's a funny one today. It seems @BurgerKing Twitter account was hacked. And it's now called "McDonald's" ironically. Go visit the Twitter account and see the sometimes funny, sometimes rather messed up things being posted.
J. J. Abrams goes to the "dark side"
I'm still quite amazed this is the man who kicked started the Star Trek film series back to life and about to go on to revive Star Wars after three not so amazing prequels. Good for him! If he can do to Star Wars what he did with Star Trek, the future of the two sci-fi pillars look pretty great!

If social was real life...
There's no hiding from it. In reality, all those pictures of lunches and dinners you've ever posted on social media would look exactly like this in reality. This, of course, also applies to status updates of absolutely mundane things that we generally wouldn't shout about around 20 years ago. Brave new world we're living in huh?
Moral of the story? Don't post pics of your food... It's bad table manners anyway (note to self: quickly delete all pics tagged with #foodporn immediately!)

Hand sanitation in space
This is weird... How astronauts wash their hands in space. The liquid looks a bit dodgy when it's attached to the hand. Interesting stuff though.

Top Gear Korea challenge goes wrong
Top Gear's Korean version pitted a Corvette ZR1 against an AH1 Cobra helicopter. As the race ended, the helicopter pilot seemed to have pulled up a bit quickly and flight control servo were faulty apparently which ended up crashing in the Arizona desert. Watch the video below. According to the producers, no one seriously injured in the accident. The pilot and cameraman on board cited the strong armour plating of this Vietnam War era machine for their lucky escape.

Credit agency sued by US government
The BBC today reported Standards & Poor's will be sued by the US government. Two years ago, the BBC already reported that S&P has suffered a fraudulent ethical breakdown according to the SEC. Not long after, the credit agency went on to downgrade several nations at the beginning of last year. The agency, of course, denies all wrong doing in the lawsuit that will focus on the agency's high ratings in 2007 of mortgage-backed securities that later collapsed. All in all, some accountability in action. Not a bad thing.
